Mod note: I edited out the phone number in the image and bolded the portion about his current bullying. The beginning is all back story.
My story and what I think about all of the things that go on with Blood On The Dance Floor now and how I feel about what I see on twitter:
First I want to say is that I was a fan of Blood On The Dance Floor long before they were I guess “famous”. Hell I listened to them when Garrett Ecstasy was involved. Dahvie Vanity and I almost started a friendship back in 2011 when they headlined the Epic Tour. INFACT I was the first fan to have a BOTDF tattoo of lyrics of theirs (no it’s not nothing sexual). I don’t regret the tattoo at all I still love the words I have. I even did a water paint portrait for art of Dahvie, that was eventually even put on their MySpace page’s album for fan art.
Anyways, I showed them the tattoo a while back before I met them when MySpace was still the greatest social site to be on. When I met them in person Dahvie even gave me a free shirt because of my tattoo and dedication as a fan to the band. My friend and I waited hours to make sure we where front row. We were even their BEFORE the alcohol was there to restock the bar that was inside Peabody’s (we were there at I believe ten in the morning).
As my friend and I waited we weren’t paying attention when a white van pulled up in front of Peabody’s, next thing I know my shoulder gets hit by a Nerf dart from a Nerf gun. I was a little confused when I picked it up and my friend told me to look up and I did. I saw Dahvie smiling at us and laughing holding the Nerf gun. I was like in shock that he even noticed we were out there waiting (note: BOTDF was my favorite band at the time). So I started joking with Dahvie and it was a good day.
Dahvie talked to us when they were unloading their things from their tour van (you know their props and stuff). So his driver (who I think was someone who helped set up the equipment) ended up getting out and going inside Peabody’s and during that time Dahvie told my friend and I to come closer. He opened the driver side door and told us to come get some heat. Mind you this was back in the fall when it was really cold out. Well we did and we were talking just about how long we were waiting and about my tattoo (that I showed him in person this time). We were having a good time talking to him and when it was time for them to go back to the hotel to get ready he told me to make sure to wait till after the show for my free shirt. Well before they took off his driver asked us what our favorite song was and we told him. Well after they left we waited.
As the time went on to around after two thirty more fans started to show up and Sally Stitches came out and gave the first few who were waiting free Epic CDs that got damage, in which my friend and I both got a copy. Even Sally knew we have been waiting hours. Well as the other bands brought in their equipment into the doors one of the roadies for I think Breath Electric gave my friend and I a slice of pizza because of how cold it was and we were talking about how hungry we were. Well after a little longer waiting the doors finally opened and my friend and I were upfront and as the concert went on we were having a blast with the bands that played before BOTDF. I even got a drum stick from the band Let’s Get It.
When it was their turn they did a good live show I thought and Dahvie even let me sing S My D with him and Jay (I mean he seriously let me sing with them and no one else during that song). It was the greatest day of my life. I was just overjoyed. After the concert was over I talked to Dahvie some more and he was still nice to me. So I got my hoodie signed, my Epic CD, and I got photos with Dahvie and Jay along with hugs of course. I showed Jay my tattoo as well and he told me he remembered seeing it on MySpace (which made me happier that they really did see it before hand). Jay also mentioned that he knew my friend and I waited hours in line. He said actually “Yeah I remember seeing that on MySpace a while back and aren’t you one of the girls that was waiting in line this morning?” I replied with a giggle and “Yes I was. The other girl was my friend.” And he replied “yeah I remember looking out the window and seeing you two and was like “Those girls are crazy” and I went back to sleep”. So it was all fun and stuff.
Well I went back to the merch table like Dahvie told me to. He said that he would be there after he met with the fans. So as I waited I talked to Sally Stitches and she told me she heard Dahvie tell me that I would get a free shirt. So she let me choose and I did and I got a photo with her. So they were all really nice. After Dahvie finished with fans he came back and we talked a little and I thanked him for the shirt and for letting me sing with him and Jay. Well he gave me his e-mail address and told me to keep in contact. So I did for a little while.
So I had a good experience when I saw them but that was over a year ago and let me tell you. Their live shows have changed from what I have seen online. So has Dahvie’s behavior on social sites. Thus bringing us to the picture that is above. For someone who is supposed to be AGAINST bullying Dahvie Vanity is not one who should be bullying ANYONE. He has changed since I have known him. Jay has changed a little but not that as much as Dahvie. When I saw this on twitter I was just so sad to see him go low enough to have his fans call and harass someone for having an opinion about BOTDF. It’s not right. It’s childish. And he lied.
He has said countless times that he wanted to be a “role model” to his fans. This isn’t being a role model its being a bully. He is teaching kids under 17 to be bullies. For what reason, oh wait it’s because he doesn’t want to be the one blamed when things get serious. So what if they are a “hater” to you because they don’t like your music. That doesn’t give you a right to go out and post their number for teens to go and harass because he isn’t man enough to handle his own situations.
I mean let’s get real here. Why does a grown man have to stoop so low when he says he doesn’t care what people say about him? Apparently he lied about that too. He does care. Even some of his fans or “SGTC” think it is wrong he stooped so low. Honestly, I think most of the “SGTC” is made up of fans who don’t actually like the music they like Dahvie’s looks. This is not what music is about. It’s about the lyrics and most of BOTDF’s songs are about sex. Not all of them may not be but most are. Even if it was just mainly their older songs, I still heard people on the Epic Tour saying BOTDF’s songs saved their lives. Someone please tell me how songs about SEX save anyone’s life? Is that truly even possibly?
Again I use to be a fan and acquaintance to him. And people can go head and give me hate for this, I don’t care. I actually mean it unlike Mr. Vanity over there. Now I don’t know if the allegations against him are true or not but I do know he is teaching kids of this generation to be bullies. Now that is one allegation that I know is true. Fame has changed him. It truly has. The so called “SGTC” can go head and defend him and be blind to his lies and be morphed into the very things BOTDF say’s they are “against”. I truly believe Dahvie uses his fans now to do his dirty work when he gets butthurt by someone and their opinion. So go forth “SGTC” and try and make me bleed (: ‘Cause “frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn”. I am an 19 year old adult girl, who can fight her own battles and not get butthurt and I am younger then Dahvie. But that is my impute and my story.
